How can you prepare your property for capturing?
First impressions are very important. When a potential client starts exploring your online listing, the imaging they say will have a massive impact on their perception of your property. Clean and organized spaces will have the viewers envisioning your property as high quality and important, while photos with messes, dirty floors/windows or cluttered environments can leave a bad impression and turn away potential leads.
Here are some steps you can take in preparation for a photoshoot to show of your property at its finest:
Move vehicles out of the driveway and park them in a garage or on the street (not directly in front of the house
If possible, hide garbage/recycle bins in garage
Roll up garden hoses
Open and raise all blinds, windows and curtains if possible. The more natural light we have, the better the photos will be!
Remove all you can from countertops/vanities (bread, cereal boxes, cookie jars, soap, hand towels, toiletries, etc…) so they are clean and open
Remove items fastened to refrigerator
Make beds and hide laundry. A tidy bedroom makes it even easier for someone to envision themselves in it
Tidy up or hide children’s toys
Hide pet toys, food bowls, and beds (cat trees are ok!)
Tidy or hide stacks of papers, mail, newspapers, magazines on desks, tables and countertops
If possible, please replace any blown lightbulb
Help the photographer by keeping pets and people out of the way during the shoot
